Holly Schmidt started playing volleyball in high school and was a two-time first team all state honoree, named her conference’s MVP both her junior and senior year. She led her team in kills, aces and blocks and was a two-time all-regional, four-time all-district, three-time all-conference and three-time all-conference tournament team honoree. She also participated in basketball and softball at the high school age. She then went on to college and competed as a RS/S at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She saw action in 114 or 125 collegiate matches. Her freshman and sophomore year she was a strong right side blocker, having multiple games with 10 blocks. During her sophomore year, she had rotator cuff surgery and started her junior and senior year as a setter in a 6-2 line up, averaging 19 assists per game. During her time at UMKC, she was a member of a plethora of clubs and was the recipient of multiple awards. After earning her Bachelor of Arts and Marketing in 2011, Holly returned to UMKC to work as a graduate assistant in the UMKC Athletics Marketing Team. She graduated with a Master’s of Arts degree in Higher Education. Following her graduation, she then moved to Iowa to start a career and is still actively participating in indoor and outdoor volleyball teams. Seibert started with PowerPlex in 2016. Seibert worked the summer excel training program it’s first year in 2015 and became a coordinator the following season. She has been the coordinator and a driving force ever since.
